Aromatic Description: Minty, reminiscent of peppermint candies, but more concentrated. More fragrant than spearmint.

Blends with: benzoin, rosemary, lavender, marjoram, lemon, eucalyptus, and other mints

DO NOT apply this oil directly to the skin without being diluted in a carrier oil first! 

Use 5-30 drops essential oil to 1 oz carrier oil

Effects on the mind

An excellent oil for stimulating the mind, eliminating mental fatigue and encouraging concentration.  In times of crisis peppermint strengthens yet numbs the nerves.

Effects on the body

• A powerful oil for all digestive problems, alleviating nausea and travel sickness, diarrhea, constipation, indigestion and flatulence.  Excellent for pain relief in the stomach and colon

• Peppermint exerts a cooling and anesthetic action on headaches and migraine, particularly if related to digestion

• Excellent for cooling down sunburn and relieving itching and inflammation.  Helpful for toxic, congested skin and acne as well as infectious skin conditions

• Invaluable for general pain relief reducing muscular aches, arthritis, neuralgia and rheumatism.  Painful periods may respond

Effects on the spirit

Peppermint will help to wake up and stimulate the chakras into action.  Also helpful for a congested 'third eye.'

Special Precautions

• Avoid using when breast feeding as it halts lactation

• Take care with sensitive skin (although irritation is rare)

• Do not use on babies and young children
